When someone enters our house, the furniture is among the very first thing which gets noticed. After all, the furniture which is chosen reflects our way of life and provides an insight into our outlook towards life. The kind of furniture, its state and its maintenance speak volumes about our attitudes and personality.
Not only the furniture but also the insignificant add-ons like lamps, rugs and tables can also provide a general idea about the persons living in that house. The manner in which one finds tables, chairs, beds and couches etc. inside a house indicate a lot about how organized a person or family living in the house is.
If you enter into a room where every piece of furniture is well-placed and shining, tables are clean, chairs are placed proper manner, all add-ons are systematically placed, you will feel comfortable and relaxed. On the other hand, if you enter into a room you find used plates on the couch, centre table in a corner and dinning chairs scattered you will feel uncomfortable and will not be tempted to sit there and relax.
In both the cases you will immediately form an opinion about the persons living there. While in the first case you will find them organized and appreciate the up-keeping of the house, in the second case you will feel that they have a very laid back and casual attitude.
If you see the difference between two rooms as the difference between two sets of persons, you are not wrong. Whatever the reason, you will not like an untidy and unclean room. You will not feel like staying there. But if you find a neat and shining thick sofa set inviting to get sink into its depths, a dinning table with matching chairs you will like to stay there and relax. Subconsciously you will conclude that the persons living over there are responsible and caring.
The same thing applies to other parts of a home. We all know that furniture is the basic essence of each and every home. It may be of different kinds like patio furniture, bedroom furniture or others which ultimately gives the house a special look. But here again, if you find parts of patio furniture in the drawing room or in the lounge too dirty and scattered you will not be tempted to sit over them or use them in any manner.
The difference between the two kind of houses underline the reasons of home decoration. One likes to live in an attractive well-maintained home. The home may or may not be full of luxurious things but should be comfortable to relax. The home should be such that a visitor may find well-kept and beautiful. Finding pieces of patio furniture or items of bedroom furniture in drawing room show poor taste or maintenance. Every thing has its own place where it will look attractive and match with the theme of the room. It should be found there only. This is part of the basic house keeping.
